Synopsis

A young boy is sent by his parents to a monastery for shinpyu, where he meets a novice monk who has been in the monastery for two years. The young boy discovers that the novice monk is haunted by recurring nightmares where he is relentlessly pursued by a buffalo. Drawing inspiration from local buffalo legends in Myanmar, the story portrays the novice monk’s courageous journey of facing and transforming his inner fears.
