The Best Dramatic Feature nominees highlight diverse journeys of courage and growth. The winning film, "Pukam Pukai" captures three New Delhi children building a pool for their community. "Lampie" follows a girl who dares to uncover the truth behind a feared “monster.” "Honey" traces a shy teen searching for her grandfather and her own voice. "NAWI – Dear Future Me" portrays a Kenyan girl protecting her sister’s future. "Wolfgang" explores an autistic boy reconnecting with his father, revealing resilience and hope. Together, these films reveal how children face the world with resilience and imagination.
The Best Animated Feature nominees explore imagination, memory, and healing. The winning film, “My Life in Versailles” portrays Violet and her estranged uncle slowly rebuilding trust. The Audience Award winner, "The Songbirds' Secret," traces Lucie and Yann as blue songbirds lead them to hidden family history. Fellow nominee, “Tales from the Magic Garden” follows three children who recreate their grandmother’s stories while uncovering their grandfather’s secret. Together, these films reveal how children face loss and rediscover connection.
The Taiwan Award nominees reveal five vibrant views of childhood. “LUDA” sends Laqi into a mysterious forest to rescue her parents. “Doubles Match” captures friendship and rivalry on the ping-pong court. Together they reflect courage, hope, and growing up in Taiwan. Taiwan Award nominated short films will be featured in upcoming short film screenings.
