Synopsis

Based on a true story, NAWI follows a brave Kenyan girl whose dream of going to high school is shattered when her father plans to marry her off to a stranger. Nawi escapes from the village, seeking freedom—but when she learns her baby sister may take her place, she returns home to fight for change.
